Senior System Engineer* Architecture Shopfloor Connectivity
You are responsible for the technical architecture and design of digital solutions with specific focus on manufacturing systems and quipment integration on the shopfloor level for BioNTech on a global level. The incumbent will closely aligns with the key stakeholders within the IT departements and industrial automation, based on the teams strategic direction to build up the long-term shopfloor integration architecture.
Your responsibilities are:
- Strategic direction setting and technical architecture planning based on BioNTech strategy and the requirements of global process owners incuding scouting for new technologies and market trends
- Development, maintenance and communication of an architecture strategy with focus on manufacturing systems and shopfloor connectivity and ensuring the implementation in running projects
- Design, implementation and operation of an shopfloor integration layer (incl. system ownership) in close alignment with the key stakeholders (esp. IT and engineering) and relevant vendors
- Acts as content lead for strategic projects and driving the implementation of new technologies into the run organization based on the overall architecture strategy
What you have to offer:
- Master’s degree in life science, computer science or other relevant area
- Pharma background or related work experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
- Experience in the selection and introduction of shopfloor integration solutions
- Experience in some common systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing (e.g. PAS-X, Opcenter Execution Pharma, Aveva Pi, Inmation,...)
- Strong project, stakeholder and communication management skills, leadership capabilities
- Structured and accurate way of working, hands-on mentality
- Fluent in German and English
