Scientist* Analytical Development (Microbiological testing and biophysics)

As a Scientist* Analytical Development (Microbiological testing and biophysics) you will be responsible for the establishment of endotoxin measurements of complex formulations like LNP and LPX and also proteins based formulations like ADCs for clinical and pre-clinical projects. In addition, you will support running projects (e.g. stability studies, comparability studies).

 

Your main responsibilities are: 

  • Develop, adapt, optimize and perform GMP-compliant microbiological testing methods, e.g. Bacterial Endotoxin Testing Assays for different protein- and lipid-based nano pharmaceuticals (e.g. LAL, MAT; rFC) including also design of LER (low endotoxin recovery) studies

  • Support method transfer to internal and external partners, including the analysis, presentation and documentation of the data and preparation of SOPs

  • Perform protocols (Endotoxin Testing) routinely for different products as well as stability and comparability studies

  • Develop and implement new GPM-compliant assays for specific relevant target analytics (e.g), with the possibility towards automatation

  • Be responsible for the analytical equipment

  • Work in close cooperation with other members in the group, and interact in internal and external cooperations

 

 

What you have to offer: 

  • Doctoral degree in chemistry, pharmaceutics, biology, biochemistry or other natural sciences, with focus on at least one of the following fields: nucleic acids and their delivery systems, drug delivery, colloidal systems, proteins

  • Practical in depth know-how in chemical, physicochemical or bioanalytical characterization approaches comprising at least one of the following methods: LAL, MAT, rFC

  • Enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills in English and German is a big plus, ability to interact in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment

  • High level of organization and reliability, independent, well-structured and precise way of working, willingness to take over responsibility and capability to meet timelines

  • Ideally knowledge about requirements for development of pharmaceutical products and GMP-experience
