Research Specialist* Analytical Development / Chromatography 

 

This position is required to plan and execute chromatographic methods for the analysis of drug substances and drug products in various BioNTech mRNA platforms. The position will also support in method development, optimization, and validation activities.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Planning and execution of chromatographic assays (using HPLC and UPLC systems) for lipid and RNA analysis
  • Supporting in chromatographic method development, optimization, and validation activities
  • Data processing and evaluation; and assessing plausibility of analytical results
  • Documentation of analytical data and results in a careful and comprehensive manner conforming to internal procedures, international guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Contributing to efficient laboratory organization (e.g. instrument support and maintenance, communication with laboratory material manufacturers and suppliers, resupply and ordering of materials)

 

 

What you have to offer: 

  • Bachelor/Master of Science in in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, biochemistry, life sciences or other related fields

  • Strong practical experience with chromatographic methods (e.g., HPLC/UPLC using different detection systems). Experience in working with lipids and/or RNA is advantageous
  • Conscientious and independent way of working with independent time management, planning and analysis of experimental work
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
