About the role:

This role will lead a dedicated ERP team (about 10 people) within China IT organization, supporting the ongoing SAP S/4 HANA project implementation and future post go-live support and enhancements. The SAP team will play the role as center of excellence to all matters related to China SAP system. This includes new modules implementation, business process design, master data management, integration with satellites systems, authorization control, data security and platform day-to-day health monitor. The SAP team will be intensively involved in future ERP projects, working closely with global IT team, external consulting team and China business process owners, to drive the project implementation throughout the project life cycle. This role needs to lead/co-lead all these activities with China Head of IT.

 

Your contribution:

  • Leading & setting the strategic directions for the ERP Applications Unit for ERP implementation and run
  • Ensure the ERP landscape adheres to the digital strategy and the IT principles, incl. security standards, integration architecture and other defined best practices and guiding principles
  • Build and lead an organization that efficiently troubleshoots and resolves technical issues related to the ERP system according to the business needs. Guide the team to oversee data migration, system integration, and interface development
  • Collaborate with the ERP Business Lead to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Act as system owner of SAP ERP, oversees the functional & template development, implementation and maintenance of the respective systems and steers the teams responsible for design, configuration and maintenance in the areas of SAP MM, PP, FICO, eWM, SD as well as satellite systems like WCS and LIMS etc.
  • Stay updated on the latest ERP technologies and trends to ensure state of the art ERP applications landscape
  • Ensure efficient and effective processes to guarantee compliant & lean operating model

 

A good match:

  • Completed relevant higher education and 12+ years of professional experience in relevant field
  • Deep functional & technical expertise in ERP architecture, especially SAP
  • Experience with ERP integration strategies and execution
  • Strong understanding of life sciences industry requirements. Strong experience of working in a regulated environment (GxP, SoX, IT security, KRITIS, etc.)
  • Strategic mindset fostering the implementation of simple and scalable solutions meeting the business short-mid and long-term needs
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Understanding of business-language to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Experience in managing and building a strong functional & technical ERP applications team
  • Deep understanding of large-scale business transformations and ERP programs
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English, both oral and written
