BioNTech is an innovative facility specialising in the mRNA vaccine production with a robust pipeline of other therapies. BioNTech Singapore is the first mRNA manufacturer in Singapore. As Technology Transfer Lead, you will act as SPOC for the site for technical transfer activities. You are responsible for strategic planning, execution and oversight of technology transfer activities. This role is required to work efficiently with cross functional teams (e.g., development, supply chain, production, quality assurance, quality control, engineering, finance, sending sites, global functions and etc) globally and locally on technology, processes and knowledge management.

Main responsibilities

• Perform technical feasibility assessment for supply/capacity/capability point decision in close collaboration with other stakeholders. Determine scope and strategy for transfer activities.
• Oversee and lead technical transfer process. Establish overall project strategy and plans including resource, timelines and local change control. Ensuring adherence to project timelines, milestones and overall project costs/resource.
• Manage and oversee the budget related to technical transfer project.
• Liaise with sending site/site functions on technology, processes and knowledge. Ensure site readiness and knowledge transfer implemented successfully on local site.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among teams to mitigate risks, develop proactive mitigation strategies and ensure successful technology transfer
• Review key documents and coordinate input for relevant documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve any challenges arising during the transfer process and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, but not limited to protocol, local procedures, technical report, and knowledge management.
• Contribute to all relevant audit inspection and ensure inspection readiness for all technical transfer-related aspects for the site. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirement, GMP, and other industry standards throughout the transfer process.
• Drive ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of technology transfer processes
• Provide updates to the management and key stakeholders on TT and align with business readiness.

What you have to offer:

Education

• Completed academic degree (Master/Bachelor) in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or equivalent scientific / natural sciences degree degree.

Professional experience, skills and competencies

• More than 10 years of working experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology company
• Hands on experience in project management, supporting technical transfer, GMP related experience is a must with at least 5 years in a process support function
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate in dynamic, cross functional matrix environment.
• Constructive work habits, flexibility, solution orientation, job ownership, quality awareness, and good in planning and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to navigate through ambiguity and rapid growth and adapt to change and meeting critical timeline
• Strong problem-solving skill and being able to work at start-up environment and manage ambiguity and operate effectively
