The  China IT Head is responsible for the end-to-end operations of IT functions across all sites in China. The role ensures that all digital and IT activities within China aligning with the company´s global IT strategy, governance model, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks, while addressing local business requirements and regulatory needs specific to China. Operating within a matrix-organization, this role acts as the bridge between global and local  leadership, balancing strategic alignment with global digital priorities and effective local execution to enable business operations and compliance. A key focus area of the role will be the implementation and operations of the ERP backbone and manufacturing IT systems.

 

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for deriving the strategic China IT objectives and goals from the global IT strategy and align with the overall China business strategy of the Company. Responsible for supplying all functional areas and all business area countrywide with the necessary equipment, and information systems, through planning, developing, and directing IT operations. Oversee IT cost management for China and align investment decisions within the functions and global IT management
  • Responsible for IT integration with Biotheus including infrastructure, IT architecture, ERP, systems, policies and process, while leading the integration team to build a highly efficient well-structured IT team in China.
  • Lead and steer the China IT organization, ensuring an effective, efficient, and compliant IT operation that meets the regional requirements and follows global governance.
  • Safeguard adherence to the global IT operating model, ensuring that all local IT activities follow or comply to defined governance, architecture, cybersecurity, and IT service management frameworks.
  • Translate business objectives into executable tasks and a comprehensive digital roadmap, driving value and operational excellence.
  • Support the ERP implementation in alignment with business objectives and the global ERP transformation program.
  • Implement and monitor IT operations with meaningful KPIs, and processes to optimize IT operations.
  • Ensure compliance and security standard adherence, as well as ensuring delivery reliability in an innovative environment.
  • Lead technical teams in site specific projects.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the overall business objectives;
  • Manage Business Continuity and Risk Management, including standardization and application of "lessons learned" at other sites.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration and support of business objectives.
  • Represent the China in global IT forums and communities, ensuring regional perspectives are reflected in the global strategy.
  • Drive the talent agenda: Leading people through recruitment, training, coaching and performance management to meet all business requirements sustaining both global and local competitiveness and diversity.

 

What you have to offer:

  • Relevant (technical) degree or several years of comparable and relevant professional experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in progressive IT leadership roles in a regulated industry and in a globally operating organization.
  • Over 15 years of experience in IT/Digitalization.
  • Strong understanding of GxP and data protection regulations, especially withing the Chinese regulatory landscape.
  • Fluent in English
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Defender Suite, and SAP S/4HANA and Manufacturing IT systems.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory IT system architectures (GxP, CSV, Data Integrity by Design) and their implementation.
  • Extensive knowledge of GxP regulations in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as high resilience.
  • Structured, analytical, and goal-oriented work approach.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams.
