Your main responsibilities are:

Accounting Operations & SAP Implementation

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets, ensuring compliance with PRC GAAP and pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Lead the accounting workstream for SAP implementation and go-live, including process mapping, data migration, UAT, and cutover activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes in SAP, supporting both statutory and management reporting.

Financial Reporting and Accounting

  • Streamline and improve local finance processes, especially the Source-to-Pay process.
  • Serve as the contact person for questions arising during the preparation of financial statements:
    • Act as the interface between FRA and the local site.
    • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, including financial statements and notes.
    • Coordinate service providers for statutory accounts preparation.
    • Act as the contact partner for auditors for statutory accounts and, if relevant, for group purposes.
  • Ensure all orders and payments are managed properly and compliant.
  • Approve invoices and coordinate site internal approvals or clarifications in case of disputes or incomplete documentation.
  • Approve payment runs.
  • Coordinate Fixed Assets requests (including CAR) and ensure completeness of documentation.
  • Review local finance transactions.

Compliance, Tax & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with local tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements, including those specific to pharmaceutical operations (e.g., CIQ/CITSW frameworks, cross-border transactions).
  • Maintain and improve internal control systems; support internal and external audits, including those related to GxP and SOX.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as needed.

Team Leadership & Process Optimization

  • Lead and develop the accounting team; provide training and guidance to ensure high performance and readiness for SAP go-live.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Support finance transformation, digitalization, and continuous improvement projects.

 

What you have to offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience in at least one SAP implementation/go-live project, including data migration, process mapping, and UAT.
  • Solid knowledge of PRC GAAP, tax regulations, and local compliance requirements for pharmaceutical companies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in English and Mandarin.
  • Experience with cross-border operations, complex tax structures, and regulatory compliance in a multinational pharmaceutical environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and related financial systems.
