Procurement Manager- IT & Digital Service

About the Role:

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing IT and digital procurement strategies, including software, hardware, cloud services, and consulting. You will work in a dynamic and innovative environment that supports BioNTech's mission to revolutionize healthcare through digital transformation. As part of our global team, you will optimize IT and procurement processes while driving impactful solutions.

Your Contribution:

• Develop and implement IT and digital procurement strategies, covering software, hardware, cloud services, and consultancy
• Manage IT and digital service procurement within the region with a focus on systematization and automation
• Collaborate with global IT and procurement teams to support system rollouts (e.g., SAP Ariba, ServiceNow)
• Oversee software licenses, SaaS contracts, and suppliers related to digital transformation
• Support automation projects and data analytics initiatives (e.g., RPA, Power BI)
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract renewals while ensuring compliance and cost optimization
• Monitor key performance indicators such as cost efficiency, quality standards, service levels, and digital maturity

A Good Match:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
• At least 2 years of experience in IT/digital procurement (for specialists) or 5+ years (for managers), with mandatory experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, or similar digital procurement platforms
• Expertise in managing IT/digital service categories with skills in process optimization, system integration, data analysis (including RPA), as well as an innovative mindset for continuous improvement
• Proven ability in strategic sourcing and supplier management within the pharmaceutical sector
• Experience collaborating across departments to support IT, finance, and operations’ digital transformation efforts
• Knowledge of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions) procurement is a plus
• Fluent English skills; experience in multinational companies or matrix organizations is preferred
