Site Head & Managing Director* 

Within this exiting role, you are responsible for the management of operations including the site and day to day manufacturing, for achieving the set targets for the site from start up to routine operations as well as running continuous improvements linked to KPI’s as indicated by global HQ, ensuring that both industry and global standards are applied along the value chain, from procurement to delivery of products and drive site transformation from commercial to clinical manufacturing.  

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all necessary processes are set up according to GMP and local regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership for the site transformation, driving the strategic vision for the Site in close collaboration with the Global Product Supply Leadership Team
  • Ensure operations per set schedule, budget and in accordance with GMP and local regulations
  • Lead communications and ensure alignment with global and regional teams, vendors, suppliers, local authorities, and local employee representation/works council 
  • Ensure that all aspects of technical operations within the assigned facilities functions are in compliance with BNT policies and standards in the area of regulatory compliance, Quality Assurance, GMP, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Protect
  • Lead, mentor, and develop site staff, fostering speak up culture as well as a collaborative and productive work environment 
  • Act as change champion to ensure strategic Site transformation 
  • Manage all site resource allocation, including assets efficiently, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and budget

 

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, and visionary individual, ideally with the following characteristics:

  • University degree (MSc) in Chemical Engineering, Life Science: Biology, Biotechnology or Biochemistry. Business degree or MBA desirable
  • Previous experience running a site and in depth knowledge of Quality Assurance standards, +15 years confirmed experience in leading commercial and clinical manufacturing (possibly technical development)
  • Profound experiences in biopharmaceuticals at senior management level
  • Experience in regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry
  • Strong leadership and cross-cultural experience
  • Proficient in budget management and financial oversight
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills 
  • High degree of autonomy
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and operate effectively
  • Self-starter, ability to flex and change direction as business needs necessitate
  • Proficiency in German and English
