Manager* Controlling 

As a Manager* Controlling you will be responsible for the management reporting of the various functional areas for the Marburg site. This includes financial planning, decision support and forecasting. You will monitor the day-to-day business by providing detailed analysis to the department heads to support their decision making process. You will identify and assess business risks and opportunities in a timely manner. 

 

Your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Provide timely, accurate and binding target and rolling plan figures 

  • Provide analysis and commentary on actual financial results and monthly business reports 

  • Manage cost and capital trends by analysing cost centre trends and spend 

  • Partner* with operational functions to develop solutions to business needs 

  • Support and scrutinise business projects and initiatives from a financial perspective, ensuring sound business cases for decision making. 

  • Prepare investment proposals, liaising closely with local and global business partners 

  • Budget planning in coordination with cost centre managers and active monitoring of costs and business performance, initiation of corrective actions 

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements 

 

What you have to offer:

 

Education: 

  • University degree in economics, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience 

  

Work experience: 

  • Several years of work experience in controlling/business planning & analysis 

  • Experience in budgeting and/or controlling or financial reporting in a manufacturing environment desirable 

  • Good knowledge of SAP

 

Languages: 

  • Fluent in written and spoken German and  

  • Fluent in written and spoken English 

 

Other: 

  • High degree of conscientiousness and diligence, honesty  

  • Strong team and communication skills 

  • Constructive working style, flexibility, solution orientation, accountability for own work, understanding of quality 

  • Excellent analytical skills 

  • Self-motivation and ability to learn
