Vice President* Strategy & Investor Relations 

 

The Vice President* of Investor Relations will be responsible for managing and leading the day-to-day activities of the Investor Relations function by creating, communicating, executing, and sustaining investor engagement initiatives, including preparing and executing quarterly earnings calls, investor and analyst roadshows and banking events, the Company’s Annual General Meeting, and capital markets events. As VP of Investor Relations you will also provide input into the development of the company’s corporate strategy, which may include contributing to or leading strategy projects to formalize and translate the strategy for internal functions or external audiences. You will be responsible for developing team-members, work processes, and overall capabilities of the IR team, in addition to working collaboratively with other functions, including Corporate Development, Finance, R&D, Corporate Communications, Legal, and Commercial. 
 

Your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Support the CSO and other relevant board members in developing and managing every day interactions and long-term relationships with industry analysts and investors to communicate the company’s financial results, operational activities and strategy
  • Develop investor confidence and belief in the company's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value
  • Serve as an on-the-record spokesperson with industry analysts and investors, to advance corporate brand narratives with financial data & insights
  • Maintain strong relationships with investors by coordinating efficient and effective education events; identify speaking opportunities for executives to position the company favorably at important events
  • Provide insights on market and competitor activity
  • Mentor and train team-members to ensure performance levels are achieved and team and individual performance objectives are met
  • Ensure rigorous compliance controls are in place within IR department at all times
  • Analyze and present financial and capital markets trends, competitor behavior, shareholder issues, anything else that could impact the business
  • Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations

 

What you have to offer.  

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 plus years of progressive investor relations experience including in-house investor relations, an investor relations firm, and/or equity research/capital markets experience within the life science industry
  • Previous experience within the life sciences industry preferrable   
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills who can work both independently and collaboratively, often to tight deadlines
  • Superior financial and investment analysis capabilities, including clear and thorough understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques used by financial and investment professionals
  • Strategic thinker with ability to adapt quickly to a high growth, fast paced environment
  • Outstanding presentation skills and strong attention to detail
