Student Assistant in Research & Development of Cancer Immunotherapies

As a student assistant, you will support our Cancer Vaccines Team on weekends at our Mainz site and help ensure the monitoring of animal welfare in accordance with animal protection laws.
Please note that this position is limited until December 31, 2026.
Your responsibilities.
- Monitoring the health status of laboratory animals (mice), particularly on weekends and public holidays (approximately 5 hours per week)
- Performing basic tasks with laboratory animals (mice), such as measuring body weight or body temperature
- Supporting immunological in vitro/ex vivo assays
- Assisting with the organization of the laboratory and infrastructure
Your profile.
- You are enrolled as a student and pursuing a degree in biology, chemistry, medicine, or a similar field in the natural sciences
- Willingness to work with laboratory animals (mice). A relevant certification (e.g., FELASA Function A, FELASA Function C/D, or equivalent) is advantageous but can be obtained upon starting the position
- Availability of at least 5 hours per week
- Organized, structured, and independent working style, along with good English skills; German language skills are not mandatory
