Senior Director* CTSM Excellence & Strategy 

 

Your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Identify, initiate, and sponsor initiatives for department growth and maturation by assessment of the department’s capabilities and gaps in relation to the desired state
  • Develop the capabilities of the Clinical Trial Supply Management Department to support the achievement of company goals of the R&D program portfolio
  • Define, execute, and lead strategic initiatives of the Clinical Trial Supply Management and logistics activities including Business Continuity Management
  • Assure operative excellence and efficient CTSM execution including improvement of efficiency of CTSM processes
  • Identify and decide on implementation of new technology solutions to improve operational performance and cross-functional efficiency
  • Elaborate strategies on external vendor integration and outsourcing as well as to ensure and improve inspection readiness of CTSM team
  • Takes leading role in organization-wide strategic and operational initiatives ensuring department´s forward integration and continuous advancement of CTSM-related processes, structures, and systems
  • Defines and implements performance objectives for CTSM Excellence & Strategy function incl. vendor related and process KPIs and manages performance
  • Responsible for developing cross-functional interaction framework

 

What you have to offer:

  • University degree in pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, biochemistry or related discipline or engineer with profound understanding of drug development process, doctoral grade preferred
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Clinical Trial Supply Management in pharmaceutical or biotech or other equivalent industry setting. Background in Clinical Operations and Project Management preferred
  • Proven track record of supply chain and study drug logistics (set up and management) in global clinical trials up to Phase III
  • Proven track record of vendor management and RfX process knowledge as weöö as knowledge about Standard of Care / SoC supplies
  • Very sound knowledge and documented experience in relevant legislation and international GMP, GDP and GCP guidelines
  • Demonstrated quality management experience as well as excellent Project Management skills
  • Profound understanding of electronic systems supporting Clinical Trial Supply Management (e.g. IRT, DMS) and standard office software proficiency (e.g. MS Office)
  • Working with and leading cross-functional teams in a matrix team environment (internal and external)
  • Decision making skills based on experiential knowledge, paired with strategic thinking and negotiation skills
  • Ability to solve multi-layered and dynamic tasks in flexible and changing framework conditions
  • Business-professional English language skills
