Scientist LC-MS Analytics (2-year replacement)

As a Scientist you will develop and execute LC-MS (liquid chromatography – mass spectrometry) based analytical strategies and assays for release analytics and characterization of our RNA/lipid-based nanopharmaceuticals within our program. 

Please note: This position is a temporary replacement for 2 years and cannot be offered on a permanent basis.

 

Your main responsibilities are.

  • Develop automation solutions for analytical assays (LC-MS) for peptide/protein quantification, including sample preparation, LC-MS data acquisition, data processing and analysis
  • Optimization of assay routines and development of analytical strategies for the characterization of lipid-based nanopharmaceuticals by LC-MS
  • Execute and document experiments, data evaluation, presentation of results, writing reports and SOPs
  • Planning, supervision, and review of external analytical measurements (targeted and non-targeted LC-MS proteomics)
  • Support tech transfer of analytical methods to QC laboratory
  • LC-MS instrument maintenance and troubleshooting 


What you have to offer.

  • PhD in pharmaceutical or natural sciences or a Master degree with several years (>3) of relevant work experience
  • Profound knowledge of LC-MS based analysis e.g. quantification of peptides in cell lysates (targeted analysis and proteomics) and hands-on experience in LC-MS instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Professional experiences in the development, establishment and application of analytical assays, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Exact, conscientious and independent way of working with independent time management, planning and analysis of experimental work
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
