Your main responsibilities:

Test and implement novel instruments to facilitate and streamline manufacturing processes like nucleic acid extraction, library preparation and quality control

Establish and optimize of molecular biology and NGS methods and equipment, including scalable high throughput and automation solutions

Validate and integrate newly established methods into routine laboratory and compliant manufacturing processes

Maintain or establish qualification of complex laboratory equipment such as NGS instruments (NovaSeq 6000, NovaSeq X Plus), QC-instruments (Fragment Analyzer, Plate Reader)

Comprehensively design, plan, and execute experiments including documentation, data analysis, initial interpretation of results

Train new colleagues and lab team members in performing, documenting, analysing and interpreting experiments/ results

Compliant documentation of development results, preparatory documentation for method and device transfers

Write standard operating procedures (SOPs) and validation plans and reports

Contribute to and present your ideas, plans and results of method development and validation in weekly internal meetings
What you have to offer:
-
Completed studies in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or comparable field, preferably with PhD degree

At least 5 years of professional (hands-on) experience with relevant molecular biology methods (DNA/RNA extraction and QC, PCR, library preparation, NGS (preferably with Illumina)

Experience with NGS data analysis, liquid handling or automation

Pro-active, solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for method development, implementation and compliant validation of scalable, automated processes in individualized cancer vaccine manufacturing

Experience with project management and/or first leadership experience will be an advantage, knowlege with CAP/CLIA and/or GCP for Labs regulations is a plus

Excellent English, ideally you also bring German writing skills
