Scientist* Autoimmunity (temporary replacement) 

 

 

As part of the Autoimmunity team, you will be involved in the development of new therapeutic approaches to be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.

 

Your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Independent coordination of projects as well as planning and execution of necessary experiments to address key scientific questions
  • Establishment of new processes and optimization of methods as well as implementation in the teamGuidance of research technicians.
  • You will work with multidisciplinary teams in the early translational phase
  • Reporting to the team, supervisors, project partners and departments in the context of subproject results of and scientific presentations
  • Independent data analysis including statistics as well as interpretation and processing of data
  • Participation in national and international conferences including scientific presentations as well as researching relevant scientific literature and following developments in the field

 

What you have to offer:

 

  • PhD in the field of immunology. Track-record in the field of autoimmunity would be desirable
  • Proven expertise in T cell immunology
  • Experience with in vivo work in mouse models. Experience with common immunological methods (flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot)
  • Experience with cell culture methods (human and murine samples)
  • High standard of spoken and written English, German language skills are advantageous
  • High level of organization and reliability. Independent, well-structured and precise way of working
  • Willingness to take over responsibility, as well as to work in a team and with enthusiasm
