Research Associate* Autoimmunity 

 

Together with your team, you are working on the development of new therapeutic approaches that are intended to be used to treat autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis.

 

Your tasks in detail are:

 

  • Conducting and analyzing cell-based assays and animal experiments in collaboration with a scientist, as well as independently performing established methods according to SOP (stimulation assays, FACS, molecular biology including common quality measurements) and their digital documentation.
  • Supporting the establishment and optimization of methods, assays, and techniques in the working group
  • Laboratory organization such as refilling and ordering of materials, training of new employees, and, if necessary, responsibility for laboratory equipment and its maintenance
  • Participation in the revision and creation of SOPs to ensure internal quality standards

 

What you can offer: 

 

  • Successfully completed training as a medical-technical laboratory assistant (MTLA), biological-technical assistant (BTA), biology laboratory assistant, or comparable qualification
  • Knowledge of common cell biological and immunological methods (purification using MACS, generation of BMDC, ELISA, flow cytometry), as well as work in cell culture are desirable
  • Initial experience with experimental animal work is desirable
  • Secure handling of common office applications
  • Interest in research-oriented activities, a team-oriented, careful and independent way of working, as well as very good German and good English skills
