About the role:
As a Project Manager in the CMC Project Management Team at BioNTech, you will be part of cross-functional project teams in a variety of CMC projects focusing on our protein/antibody-drug conjugate-based pipeline. You will drive the coordination of complex projects and build the structures and system management processes that empower our interdisciplinary teams to achieve their goals at every project stage.
Your contribution:

Plan, coordinate, integrate, execute, monitor, and close protein-based CMC oncology projects in collaboration with internal teams and external CDMOs

Coordinate and manage the efficient flow of content and information across interdisciplinary teams including system and document management, status reporting and project reviews to ensure that project goals meet company’s vision and strategy

Integrate program strategy and operational execution across all the functional areas and work packages in delivering the program goals and the team's success (scope, budget, time, quality, risk management)

Support the implementation of company-wide new processes and process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency

Build, maintain, and manage high performing project teams
A good match:

Successful university degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Engineering, Life Sciences or a similar field

Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams. Experience in protein-based drug development and/or oncology project experience is a strong plus

Strong ability to work in highly cross-functional teams, managing diverse stakeholders and external partners

Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills

Previous working experience in a regulated Pharma/CMC environment (e.g. GCP/ GCLP, GMP) is an advantage

Fast perception of new knowledge and efficient problem-solving skills paired with a high level of personal commitment

Willingness to handle complex projects across multiple departments and with collaboration partners

Ability and interest to think in business strategic perspectives is an advantage

Excellent English skills, both written and spoken (German skills are also desirable but not essential)
