About the role:
You will play a key role as an IT Expert and Product Owner in our ERP Applications Team and ERP Transformation Project Sustainability Work Stream. As the IT Lead for sustainability solutions, you will focus on the new SAP-based data ecosystem focusing on Environment, Health & Safety (SAP EHS), SAP Product Compliance and the according sustainability satelites (e.g. SAP Sustainability Control Tower etc.). Your work will ensure seamless IT integration, governance, and operational support for sustainability-related solutions, directly contributing to BioNTech’s mission.
Your contribution:
- Provide expert IT guidance for EHS management, product compliance, and sustainability satellite solutions (SAP Green Ledger, SAP Sutainability Footprint Management, SAP Sustainability Control Tower)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize IT solutions aligned with sustainability goals
- Analyze, configure and deploy SAP systems addressing sustainability data management
- Integrate tools for centralized monitoring, reporting, and analytics of sustainability metrics
- Ensure compliance with regulations through effective IT controls and automation
- Act as System Owner for systems such as SAP Green Ledger, SAP Sustainability Control Tower, SAP Sustainability Footprint Manager and Supply Chain Due Diligence Tool
A good match:
- Proven experience as an IT SME in sustainability-related areas such as EHS management, product compliance and sustainability solutions
- Strong knowledge of SAP sustainability solutions (e.g., SAP EHS, SAP Product Compliance, SAP Green Ledger, SAP SCT, SAP SFM) and related IT solutions (e.g., Check Your Value Chain)
- Experience with sustainability data integration, reporting tools and familiarity with regulations (e.g. CSRD, GRI) impacting IT compliance
- Prior experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation projects and ongoing support related to sustainability is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills combined with expertise in process design and communication
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders across multiple disciplines
- Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken), German is a plus
