Product Owner (m/w/d) ERP Products for Sustainability

About the Role: 

 

You will play a key role as IT Product Owner and SAP Sustainability Solutions Expert within our ERP Applications Team and the Sustainability Work Stream of our ERP Transformation Project. As the IT Lead for sustainability solutions, you will take ownership of the technical design, implementation, integration and lifecycle management of BioNTech's SAP-based sustainability landscape. Your work will ensure seamless IT integration, governance, and operational support for sustainability-related solutions, directly contributing to BioNTech’s mission. 

 

Your Contribution: 

 

  • Act as the IT Product Owner and System Owner for SAP sustainability applications including SAP EHS, SAP Product Compliance, SAP Green Ledger, SAP Sustainability Footprint Management and SAP Sustainability Control Tower 
  • Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of SAP-based sustainability solutions within the global ERP landscape 
  • Define system architectures, integration concepts and data flows for sustainability-relevant business processes together with other IT Teams 
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, ERP teams, developers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and compliant IT solutions 
  • Configure, deploy and optimize SAP applications supporting sustainability, EHS and product compliance processes 
  • Drive integration between SAP S/4HANA and sustainability platforms to ensure data consistency and reporting accuracy 
  • Ensure application reliability, governance, security and compliance through appropriate documentation, IT controls and automation 

 

A Good Match : 

 

  • Several years of experience in SAP application management, ERP systems, solution ownership or IT product ownership 
  • Strong hands-on expertise with SAP sustainability applications such as SAP EHS, SAP Product Compliance, SAP Sustainability Control Tower (SCT), SAP Sustainability Footprint Management (SFM) and SAP Green Ledger 
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, enterprise application integration and master data management 
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, interfaces, data governance, regulations (e.g. CSRD, GRI) and reporting solutions 
  • Experience supporting SAP transformation, implementation or rollout projects in complex global environments and proven experience delivering IT solutions in sustainability, EHS or compliance-related domains 
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across IT, business and external partners
