Manager IT Infrastructure Service Delivery - Hosting

About the Role:


As the Manager IT Infrastructure Service Delivery - Hosting, you will ensure the end-to-end delivery, stability, and continuous improvement of BioNTech's on-premise and hybrid infrastructure services. Your expertise will be critical in managing compute, storage, backup, and datacenter facilities to support high availability, performance, compliance, and security across our IT services. Acting as the primary contact for internal stakeholders and external service providers, you will lead efforts in service level management, vendor performance optimization, incident resolution, and cost efficiency. This role is key to driving standardization, ITIL process maturity, and automation while enabling reliable integration of managed hosting services into BioNTech's operations

 

Your Contribution:

 

  • Manage external service providers to ensure compliance with SLAs and optimal service delivery
  • Oversee end-to-end infrastructure hosting services including compute, storage, backup, and datacenter facilities
  • Define strategies and roadmaps aligned with IT and business objectives
  • Ensure stable operation of datacenters and hosting platforms in on-premise and hybrid environments
  • Collaborate across teams to establish hosting standards and patterns
  • Drive process automation and tooling enhancements for efficient operations


A Good Match:

 

  • Proven experience in IT Service Management and Service Delivery within infrastructure or datacenter operations
  • Strong understanding of datacenter operations (power, cooling, physical security) and hosting technologies (servers, storage, backup)
  • Familiarity with hybrid environments integrating public cloud hosting services
  • Solid knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Level Management
  • Expertise in vendor management including contract negotiation and cost optimization for infrastructure services
  • Leadership qualities with a focus on fostering accountability and continuous improvement within teams
