Manager* Apheresis Operations (individualized mRNA cancer vaccines) 

 

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Adherence to the regulatory requirements and the respective procedures (policies, SOPs, instructions).
  • Oversee hiring, training, and performance of operations specialists.
  • Building, tracking, and reporting on the project planning associated with apheresis qualification process and the clinical site sample collection center onboarding process.
  • Experience interfacing with cross functional departments associated with conducting apheresis center and clinical site qualification.
  • Provide real time support to operations specialists, apheresis centers, and clinical site sample collection centers.
  • Escalation and communication of ongoing topics associated with the support of apheresis operations and sample management within the region.
  • Oversee vendor performance and relationships.
  • Operational support as process expert for apheresis operations and clinical site sample management activities.
  • Ability to train apheresis centers and clinical site sample collection centers on BioNTech collection processes.
  • Create documents to support apheresis operations and sample management activities.
  • Collection and storage of documents from apheresis centers and clinical site sample collection centers.
  • Involvement in recruiting, coaching, and training of team members to acquire all theoretical and practical knowledge to guarantee functional management of the Clinical Trial Supply Management Patient Operations activities.
  • Travel: ability to travel up to 50% of the time to apheresis centers or clinical trial sites.

 

What you have to offer.

  • Degree in pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, biochemistry or related discipline or engineer with profound understanding of natural scientific processes
  • Relevant professional experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech or any other equivalent industry setting, working in or with apheresis centers to support qualification process or ongoing apheresis work
  • Project Management Experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated quality management experience
  • Adherence to project timelines
  • Profound skills in the application of standard software (e.g. MS Office)
  • Ability to solve multi-layered and dynamic activities
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and learning skills
  • Able to accurately work under pressure in a versatile environment
  • Willing and able to take over responsibility and ownership
  • Ability to create independent analyses and develop new solutions
  • Excellent organizational and communicative skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and collaborate with business partners, analysts, and team members
  • Strong work ethic; ability to work at an abstract level and gain consensus
  • Openness to explore on new topics for setting up the trend
