IT Architect* Supply Chain Planning
Our Supply Chain and Data Engineering team within the IT organization manages software solutions at BioNTech. The Supply Chain Planning team is one part of it, playing a pivotal role to ensure the efficient support of operational business processes. Therefore, it is contributing and/or responsible for the selection, provision, operation, and further development of business applications.
We gather business requirements and develop professional IT solutions to support business processes. We use cloud technologies to develop and operate innovative solutions. As the entire transformation process is based on our legacy system landscape, we also need to ensure the operation and enhancement of such solutions. As solutions need to fit into our system landscape, technical and process interfaces may also depend on other applications such as ERP systems.
The aim of the role is to provide in-depth technical knowledge of supply chain planning systems, consisting of tools for long- and medium-term planning and production planning. The individual will act as the technical/content lead for IT projects, scouting new technologies and driving the implementation of new technologies. This includes coordination with business partners to ensure a close fit between processes and the future system landscape. This requires consideration of organisational, process and system interfaces for related functions within the supply chain.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Requirements engineering with Business Partners and alignment with the Global Process Owner
- Expert and contact person for operation, content, data, function, training management and interrelationships of the systems
- Take over responsibility and activities in the area of tool implementation as well as maintaining/supporting the current tool landscape
- Manage external service partners during implementation projects as well as during the support phase
- Collaborate on projects from an IT-point of view in Supply Chain Planning to support our business processes
What you have to offer:
- Completed studies in Computer science or Engineering and at least 4-5 years of professional experience or long professional experience in a comparable position, preferable within the process industry
- Relevant experience with Supply Chain Planning tools
- General understanding of Supply Chain planning processes
- Teamwork skills and ability to work under pressure as well as a structured and goal-oriented way of working
- High affinity for modern technologies and IT systems
- Strong communication skills in German and English
