The Head of ERP Applications CoE is responsible for the technical architecture, development, implementation and maintenance of the BioNTech ERP system landscape. This role ensures that the ERP system is enabling the business strategy and goals, optimized for performance, security, and scalability, supporting the business needs. The role works closely with the ERP Business Lead and the ERP Project Lead to ensure an integrated solution.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Design and implement ERP system architecture and integration with third-party systems
- Lead the technical team in ERP system implementation and run & maintain acitvities, further customization, configuration, and upgrades of the landscape
- Ensure the ERP landscape adheres to the digital strategy and the IT principles, incl. security standards, integration architecture and other defined best practices and guiding principles
- Build and lead an organization that efficiently troubleshoots and resolves technical issues related to the ERP system according to the business needs
- Collaborate with the ERP Business Lead to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Oversee data migration, system integration, and interface development
- Stay updated on the latest ERP technologies and trends to ensure system relevancy
- Ensure the adaption of “lean processes” for technical tasks such as agile methodology in the deployment and validation processes
- Partner with the Digital Innovation team to identify, select and implement new technologies such as GenAI-supported test-automation and document creation
What you have to offer:
- Deep technical expertise in ERP architectures, especially SAP
- Experience with ERP integration strategies and execution of it
- Strong understanding of programming languages in the SAP environment
- Strategic mindset fostering the implementation of simple and scalable solutions meeting the business short-mid and long-term needs
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Understanding of business-language to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Ability to manage and mentor a technical team
- Strong understanding of life sciences industry requirements
- Fluency in German and English, both oral an written
