Based on our solid scientific, technological and clinical base, we are now building a commercial organization to launch and drive revenues for our Oncology portfolio. The Executive Director Global Product Strategy mRNA Cancer Therapies (all genders) will lead the Global Product Strategy team focusing on developing and potentially launching our mRNA assets. You bring an external/patient focused approach to partner with oncology clinicians to understand their and their patients’ needs. Utilizing those insights and knowledge to partner with R&D teams to design and develop successful clinical development programs that are optimized for regulatory and commercial success.
Your key responsibilites:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, including product branding, positioning, and scientific messaging to maximize market penetration and revenue growth
- Leverage deep understanding of oncology healthcare customers, including providers, key opinion leaders, patients, and market access stakeholders, to inform the go to market approach that drives customer behavior change and market performance
- Continually monitor and analyze market, customer, and competitor trends, incorporating insights into clinical development and commercialization plans
- Develop the global brand positioning and messaging aligned to assure product characteristics capable of product differentiation and ensure aligned and commercially focused medical and market access strategy, planning and execution
- Partner closely and provide strategic direction to cross-functional groups (e.g. Insights & Analytics, R&D, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, sales, finance, and Medical Affairs) for the development and implementation of strategic and executional plans
- Where BioNTech has co-commercialization or co-promotion rights ensure consistency and alignment with partner, in relation to the global brand strategy and all relevant resources
- Plan and drive budget requirements and ensure monitoring and tracking accordingly
- Manage vendor partnerships to ensure key activities are executed to plan, cost-effective and within budget
What you have to offer:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry with increasing responsibilities
- Undergraduate degree, MBA, PHD or similar considered a plus
- Extensive knowledge and experience across global markets in the Oncology space, including new product development, new product launches, regulatory landscape, reimbursement environment and healthcare system dynamics, to drive successful commercialization strategies
- Specific expertise in targeted therapies and complex platforms, to effectively lead commercialization efforts globally
- Experience with complex therapies, manufacturing and patient services development and execution
- Proven ability to partner and influence within the R&D and manufacturing organizations to shape programs to meet patient and clinician needs
- Proven ability to partner and influence from a global position with country commercial teams as well as the ability to lead and mentor the tumor team members, providing strategic guidance, coaching and support to drive performance and business objectives
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, including product branding, positioning, and scientific messaging to maximize market penetration and revenue growth
