About the Role
As Director Global Warehouse Concepts & Implementation, you will define and drive scalable, compliant solutions that align with BioNTech’s mission to enable efficient and future-ready warehouse implementations. You will ensure GMP/GDP compliance and cold chain alignment while translating strategic network studies into actionable solutions. This role offers the opportunity to partner across functions and regions, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to shape BioNTech’s global warehouse standards.
Your Contribution
- Define and govern global warehouse design standards, ensuring GMP/GDP compliance, cold chain requirements, and automation strategies
- Translate strategic network study outcomes into detailed warehouse concepts, capacity models, risk mitigation strategies, and implementation roadmaps
- Lead global and regional warehouse projects from concept through execution while ensuring alignment with quality, regulatory, cost, and timeline expectations
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Quality, Sites, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain) to deliver integrated and scalable solutions
- Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of industry best practices, digitalization tools, and emerging technologies
A Good Match
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 10–15+ years of experience in global supply chain/logistics roles within pharmaceutical/biotech or other regulated industries
- Proven expertise in warehouse design standards including GMP/GDP compliance, cold chain logistics, automation strategies, and layout optimization
- Strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to translate high-level network strategies into operational solutions
- Strong leadership experience in managing complex international projects with senior-level stakeholder engagement
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple global initiatives simultaneously
- Analytical problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Exceptional communication skills to align diverse stakeholders across functions and regions
