Director Global Commercial Programs 


As Director* Global Commercial Programs, you will be a key member of the commercial team, working cross-functionally to execute commercial strategy and planning within BioNTech's growing portfolio of clinical programmes.


Your main responsibilities are:


  • Be responsible for the implementation and execution of the commercial programme framework for all assigned product candidates, and assist in the development and implementation of appropriate tools to track and monitor the status of commercial programmes
  • Lead the commercial programme team in the implementation and execution of commercial objectives, working closely with the R&D programme team leader and functional leaders
  • Represent the global commercial division on early stage programmes (clinical/R&D) and ensure that the commercial aspect is considered and implemented early in the development of product candidates
  • Collaborate cross functionally with other areas in coordinating, influencing and advising strategic and operational efforts to ensure alignment and seamless execution of the global product strategy
  • Build and leverage relationships and networks to improve team dynamics; proactively identify opportunities and remove obstacles to drive business results

What you have to offer.


  • Scientific or medical degree with minimum 5 years of professional experience in Global and/or local (US) Marketing / Brand management 
  • Product launch experience in Oncology is a must
  • Knowledge of drug development with understanding of other functions relevant to the position, e.g.: Clinical, manufacturing, medical affairs, market access, distribution and regulatory
  • Excellent business acumen, proven ability to align teams to strategy to achieve business and project objectives
  • Proactive and strategic thinker with strong facilitation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong collaborative spirit, excellent communication and relationship management skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Experience in leading and managing cross-functional programme management teams
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a highly structured global organisation
  • Experience in working with corporate partners and alliances is desirable
