Director External QC Network (m/w/d)

As Director External QC Network (m/w/d) at BioNTech, you are responsible for the set-up and management of a dedicated team and processes overseeing the external global test network (CMOs, CDMOs, CROs) for protein projects (mAbs, ADCs). Your responsibilities are: 

 

  • Development and leadership of a QC team in a GMP environment of internal stakeholders and multiple CDMOs
  • Development, implementation and optimization of QC relevant processes to secure oversight for QC topics, batches and products (clinical and commercial)
  • QC-support for the development and commercialization of a broad protein pipeline
  • Stakeholder management of internal departments, authorities as well as external partners
  • Development, review and maintenance of QC-relevant processes in the overarching network of sites
  • Review and approval of QC relevant strategic documents


What you have to offer. 

 

  • University degree in a scientific/life-science-related field, PhD desirable 
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in QC (ideally analytical development) within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Profound experience in CMC development, including commercialization 
  • Experience in managing CDMOs globally 
  • Solid analytical background with proteins and ADCs
  • Previous experience in a disciplinary leadership function 
  • Strong communication as well as (self-)organizing skills
  • Fluent German and English (both oral and written) necessary
