DevOps Engineer

As DevOps Engineer you are responsible for the technical readiness of our coding platform, ensuring that it covers technical needs as well as ensuring high availability, resilience and quick mean time to recovery for all our systems. This role is a key contributor for the conception, development, review, implementation and continuous improvement of standardized software build processes as well as continuous integration, delivery and deployment processes across the entire organization. Your responsibilities are:
- Contribute to the technical architecture, develop scalable systems, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support the software development needs.
- Ensure high code quality, adherence to standards, and minimize technical debt across projects.
- Own and manage systems like JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, and GitHub self-service functionality.
- Mentor and upskill junior engineers, fostering collaboration and adherence to best practices.
- Scout and implement emerging tools and technologies to enhance system performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Develop standardized CI/CD processes, integrating security best practices and ensuring compliance.
- Drive automation in software development, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
What you have to offer.
- University degree in computer science or similar qualification with several years of relevant working experience
- Strong background in Software Engineering principles and practices, as well as proven experience in DevOps methodologies and tools.
- Expertise in Cloud technology, preferably AWS.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: JavaScript, Python, Go, or C#
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or similar.
- Familiarity with GitHub and GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand stakeholder needs, translate requirements into actionable solutions.
- Fluent Englisch skills, both oral and written; German is a plus.
