As Associate Director SCM Innovation (m/f/d) you are responsible for implementing robust, scalable, timely and cost-efficient processes in logistics with a focus on new and existing local sites. For new manufacturing and their related supplying sites you and the respective team are responsible for leading the SCM workstreams from plan to execution and implementation. For existing sites, the role drives the implementation of continuous improvement projects in the areas of logistics automation, digitalization and robotics, in alignment with key stakeholders. Your responsibilities are:
- Develop and implement innovative strategies and solutions to support the growth and expansion of our local BNT sites. Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in SCM and logistics and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Lead logistics innovation projects in automation, digitalization, and robotics to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and engineering to ensure successful project execution
- Provide leadership and guidance to the innovation team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Manage project budgets and timelines, reporting project progress to senior management. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the SCM Network and the Head(s) of Manufacturing, to ensure alignment with global and local strategies
What you have to offer.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, information management, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and implementing innovative solutions in logistics, including complex digitalization landscapes. Brownfield expansion and Greenfield experience are a plus.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing budgets and timelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong
- Fluent German and English
