Associate Director* Production Procurement 

 

In this role as Associate Director* Production Procurement you will take responsibility to develop and execute category strategies for materials in the regulated environment as well as continuous improvement of business processes in the related field.

You will closely cooperate with relevant stakeholders such as Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Quality Assurance, SCM as well as other enabling functions such as Legal and Finance.

 

Your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Early engagement with your business stakeholders to define the best approach and sourcing model (for a specific material category)
  • Lead the sourcing activities from identification of need to contract execution including RFI/RFP management, decision-making to final vendor selection as well as contract negotiation (MSAs, Work Orders and Change Orders) and manage required resources and process documentation 
  • Actively manage and contribute to risk management, supplier qualification / due diligence with SMEs and key stakeholders 
  • Strive for cost optimization and manage KPIs for the assigned procurement category 
  • Close collaboration with business stakeholders such as Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Quality Assurance, SCM as well as other enabling functions such as Legal and Finance 


What you have to offer.

 

  • University degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) preferably in a scientific field with a minimum of 4 years professional procurement experience 
  • Alternatively a Business Degree with relevant procurement experience in the pharmaceutical area
  • Profound knowledge in direct / material procurement in the area of Supplier & Material Qualification
  • Comprehension of procurement processes and industry requirements in general
  • Be highly adaptable to dynamic environment with self-starter attitude
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently on multiple activities at the same time 
  • Good communication and facilitation skills as well as stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and German language skills are an add-on
