We are seeking an experienced Modular Manufacturing Professional to lead our company's efforts in developing and implementing new modular manufacturing concepts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production equipment modeling, value engineering, and operations and maintenance. They will be responsible for managing changes to the design documents throughout the execution phase and ensuring detailed planning for production start of all building systems to support both R&D and GxP operations.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the development of the capacity modeling for production equipment

  • Drive the development of the capacity vs. demand analysis for utilities

  • Review all utility information to ensure that design scope meets the Business Unit needs

  • Continuously implement value engineering processes over the course of the project

  • Review proposed schedule changes against the current project schedule and contracted schedules of deliverables against project needs

  • Serve as the project focal point for ensuring operations and maintenance are in line with project requirements

  • Develop and design new modular manufacturing concepts

  • Ensure detailed planning for production start of all building systems to support both R&D and GxP operations

  • Manage changes to the design documents throughout the execution phase and support reconciliation with the cost report and schedule

  • Ensure necessary data, review, and feedback to all scopes of work, logistics, and project-specific conditions to assure alignment with Modular Manufacturing organization requirements

  • Define and implement a project Document Control process and construction document management platform

  • Include pertinent lessons learned from other relevant projects for consideration and develop a project lessons learned process

  • Domestic and international travel may be required up to 50% of the time for business requirements and temporary project assignments (up to six months at a time)

 

Qualifications: 

  • Master of Science in process, mechanical, or civil engineering with management background (MBA/Industrial Engineering/Management)

  • 7+ years of experience in modular manufacturing and project management

  • Academic study or experience in “Implementation Strategies for Modular Production Systems in the Pharmaceutical Industry”

  • Experience in the delivery of international CAPEX projects (+100m €) in the pharmaceutical or process industry within cross-functional and -cultural teams

  • Profound know-how in development of modular design concepts strategies

  • Project management skills including project initiation, resource planning, budget control, and communication 

  • Analytical Problem Solving - Ability to identify problems, define problem statements clearly and drive resolution through sound and systematic application of technical knowledge. Innovative and effective in solution development, risk management, and execution

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
