Associate Director Late Stage RNA Process Development
At BioNTech you will support our process development team and contribute as part of an interdisciplinary team to the development of new processes for RNA production and to actively shape development projects.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Supporting the set-up (and perspectively leading) a team for late-stage process development for RNA synthesis and RNA purification
- Implementing Quality by Design based RNA process characterization
- Establishing and Qualification of Small-Scale Models
- Documentation set-up and alignment for harmonized rapid process transfers & CMC documentation
What you have to offer:
- Degree in natural sciences (ideally PhD)
- Sound experience in vitro RNA synthesis (therapeutic), RNA purification and analytics
- Longterm experience in late-stage process development, technology transfer, desirably with knowledge in the GMP area
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to influence and work across organisational boundaries in a cross-cultural environment
- Working familiarity with preparative and analytical purification methods (such as FPLC, Diafiltration, capillary electrophoresis) is preferred
- Experience in setting-up QbD (Quality-by-design)
- Relevant knowledge in statistical experimental design and data analysis (DoE)
- Conscientious, precise, and independent way of working
- Commitment and the ability to find your way in a fast-paced and interdisciplinary environment
- Fluent in english and german
