About the Role:

 

In the role of Associate Director Manager Internal Corporate & Management Reporting, you will be supporting the preparation and sounding of the internal corporate reporting package on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Further in this role you will be responsible for cross-functional collaborations and tasks like with / in tax, treasury or our Value Assurance Team (VAT). This fosters financial transparency via BioNTech’s Internal Corporate & Management Reporting.

 

Your Contribution:

 

  • Supporting the internal corporate reporting process for monthly, quarterly and annual Management meetings as well as for the Audit Committee including coordination with all relevant stakeholders in a timely and qualitatively excellent manner

  • Cross functional collaboration and tasks including:

    • Tax: Run the monthly/quarterly/annual allocation cycles, calculate true-aps and ensure that e.g. tax requirements related to allocation keys get reflected. Ensure a sound variance analysis within the preparation or the reprtong deck.
    • Treasury: Ensure consistent monthly/quarterly/annual liquidity & cash reports incl. variance analyses. 
    • VAT: Collaborate with the VAT team to ensure their input on initiaitve statuses are reflected in the management reporting.

  • Continuous development, optimization, preparation and coordination of global management reporting & closing processes and reports including:
     
    • Quality: ensure data consistency and “1-time-right-priniciple”
    • Content: meaningful presentations, challenging commentary on forecasts, budgets and actuals to foster financial transparency
    • Continuous improvement of performance measurement by regularly revisiting financial and non-financial (key) performance indicator logic 
    • Track different initiatives across BPA for management reporting improvement

  • Ad hoc reporting: adapt & translate reporting demand into regular reporting processes

  • Lead and support BPA FP&A projects (e.g. SAP implementation-related projects, challenge business cases for major investments, etc.)

  • Foster collaboration with peer departments (Treasury, Tax, VAT, HR, Accounting, etc.)

A Good Match:

 

  • A university degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Several years (5+ yrs.) of professional experience in controlling, ideally in an international BioTech and / or corporate environment
  • Leadership experience is a plus
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, reporting and analysis
  • Professional fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Very good knowledge of ERP systems (especially S4/Hana) as well as Business Intelligence systems (incl. Office 365)
  • A constructive as well as collaborative working style characterized by flexibility, a solution-oriented mindset, accountability, and a strong commitment to quality
