About the Role:
As Associate Director Finance Business Partner – Enabling Functions, you will be at the forefront of driving financial excellence within BioNTech’s global support functions, including Finance, HR, Procurement, and Corporate Functions. Your work will ensure transparent performance management and strategic decision-making that aligns resources effectively with corporate objectives. By partnering closely with functional leaders and their teams, you will play a pivotal role in achieving BioNTech’s mission to translate science into survival.
You will join an innovative and collaborative environment where your insights will shape the financial strategies of our enabling functions. From steering key processes like forecasting and budgeting to advancing data-driven decision-making tools, your contributions will directly influence the success of BioNTech’s organizational goals.
Your Contribution:
- Build trusted relationships as the senior Finance Business Partner for Enabling Functions, guiding functional leaders and teams
- Coordinate month-end, year-end, and quarterly closing activities while ensuring accurate financial statements during forecast and budget processes
- Prepare, consolidate, and present regular performance reviews with insightful commentary on results and forecasts
- Analyze plan-vs-actual variances to identify value drivers, risks, opportunities, and create actionable decision memos for senior management
- Develop and automate management reports and dashboards to enhance transparency and accountability
- Lead FP&A projects including SAP S/4HANA enhancements and major functional investment business cases
A Good Match:
- University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or related field
- Proven experience in controlling/FP&A within international matrixed organizations across multiple enabling functions
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, analysis, ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA), BI tools; advanced Excel skills required
- Fluency in English and German with exceptional communication skills to influence stakeholders effectively
- Analytical mindset paired with proactive problem-solving abilities; attention to detail is essential
- Experience leading projects or mentoring teams; people-management experience is a plus
