Associate Director* CTSM Logistics 

 

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Liaise with Supply Chain Management team to exchange courier service knowledge and share synergies
  • Liaise with Procurement to drive RfX process and with vendor management for vendor selection
  • Own and write Logistics related SOPs
  • Generate & Maintain knowledge about Courier/Depot Service offered processes and forms (Import/Export Service, Distribution including Temperature Appraisal and filing, TE handling)
  • Define and implement performance objectives for Logistic function
  • Manage performance management for Logistic function
  • Train new team members to follow SOPs in Logistics
  • Ensure Logistic SOPs are followed

 

What you have to offer:

  • Relevant completed university education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related discipline Broad and/or in-depth and special task-specific expertise and skills (doctorate, if applicable)
  • Relevant professional experience (usually +5 years) in Pharmaceutical or Biotech or any other equivalent industry setting (e.g., pharmaceutical logistics provider) 

  • Proven track record of creativity and problem solving in a regulated environment 

  • Proven track record in Performance Management

  • Deep knowledge of controlled temperature shipping, including shipper, container, and route validation requirements

  • Deep Knowledge of GDP Principles (e.g., Documentation, Operations, etc.)

  • Deep Knowledge of GCP Principles (e.g., Ethical principles, Adequate Drug Information, etc.)

  • Excellent connector with SCM and Procurement

  • Strong organizational and forecasting skills

  • Ability to strategically plan, manage and execute simultaneously

  • Knowledge of clinical development and appreciation of logistics impact on patient and clin dev outcomes

  • Standard office software proficiency (e.g., MS Office)

  • Business-professional English language skills

  • Decision making skills based on experiential knowledge, paired with strategic thinking and negotiation skills

  • Ability to solve multi-layered and dynamic tasks in flexible and changing framework conditions

  • Ability to create independent analyses and develop new solutions as well as derive or elaborate suitable next steps

  • Assertiveness and strong communication skills

  • Service mentality – stakeholder management on eye level

  • Ability to lead various individuals of different professional backgrounds and expertise levels, with resilience to constantly changing work environment

  • Assertive, with the confidence to be a voice of authority – eager to do what is best for the team and openness to explore new topics/trends

  • High-energy and passionate outlook to the role and can influence those around them
