(Senior) Test Manager ERP Products

The (Senior) Test Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the quality testing functions of ERP applications. This includes implementing and adapting testing frameworks, planning and executing (release) testing approaches, set up of test automation, as well as all other testing-related activities. The jobholder understands the SAP/ERP landscapes, best practice testing methodologies, and the regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceutical industries. The (Senior) Test Manager serves as a critical liaison between business, IT, QA, implementation partner and regulatory stakeholders to ensure testing meets all compliance standards (e.g., GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11 and SOX). Your responsibilities are: 

 

  • Develop and execute the end-to-end test strategy and master test plan across multiple workstreams and phases
  • Oversee testing activities including UAT, Authorization, End-to-End and Regression Testing
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP, ISO, SOX, IT Security, GDPR) throughout the testing lifecycle
  • Manage cross-functional test teams including internal staff and external suppliers
  • Serve as key contact person for (business) stakeholders concerning testing topics
  • Define and track KPIs and test metrics to provide transparent status reporting and quality assurance insights to executive stakeholders
  • Implement and govern automated test tools, environments, and data management strategies to support efficient testing
  • Coordinate and participate in defect management and resolution processes, ensuring timely closure of critical issues
  • Serve as a quality and testing subject matter expert for Deviation and CAPA, as well as during internal and external audits and inspections

 

What you have to offer.

 

  • Relevant higher education
  • 5+ years of professional experience in ERP test management and large-scale IT programs
  • Proven experience managing testing efforts in validated environments within regulated industries (e.g., pharma, chemical, medtech).
  • Experience in GxP regulations. SOX experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of SAP or ERP-related applications preferred
  • Hands-on experience with test management and test automation tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
  • Experience in leading cross-functional and multicultural teams across time zones
  • Fluency in German and English
