(Junior) Project Manager* Bioanalytics & Bioinformatics - AI/ML infectious disease vaccines 

 

As part of the Bioanalytics & Bioinformatics Project Management team at BioNTech, you will join a motivated and dynamic team who provide project management support for cross-functional teams in a variety of projects to support the development of our technology platforms key to the success of our clinical portfolio. This specific position is to support global AI/ML R&D teams in collaboration with InstaDeep. This includes, but is not limited to, R&D efforts to improve our infectious disease vaccine mRNA platforms including covid vaccine design & our therapeutic antibody platforms.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Tandem with project manager to perform project management duties (budget, timelines, resources, risk management etc.) to support the development, execution, and completion of complex projects

  • Management of individual work packages/specific areas within a complex project together with an experienced Project Manager to ensure project scope and goals are delivered in desired time and quality

  • Guide and ensure communication among internal and external (collaboration partners, governmental agencies) project stakeholders and ensure information flow (when identifying a problem, offering best possible solutions to team and project manager)

  • Project documentation (Compile data and information relevant to the project) and reporting

 

 

What you have to offer:

 

  • Experience of project management tasks during studies or time in industry, desirable but not essential to have previous working experience in a regulated environment (e.g. GCP/GCLP or GMP)

  • A strong background in one or more of the following areas: AI model development Bioinformatics, infectious disease research, structural biology, molecular biology or Next Generation Sequencing

  • A keen interest in development of Bioinformatics & AI technologies & products

  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills

  • Self-starter with fast perception of new knowledge and efficient problem-solving skills with high personal commitment within a matrix and fast paced environment

  • Willingness to handle complex projects across multiple departments and with collaboration partners

  • Very good English skills, written and orally (German skills are also desirable but not essential)

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable but not essential
