Director Global Oncology Commercialization Strategy

Based on our solid scientific, technological and clinical base, we are now building a commercial organization to launch and drive revenues for our Oncology portfolio.
We are seeking a Global Oncology Commercialization Director to build towards global commercial launch readiness for our oncology portfolio in priority markets.
Your responsibilities:
- In this role you will support development and implementation of the global commercialization strategy for the BioNTech portfolio, including global launch and sequencing strategy
- You will evaluate different potential go-to-market approaches to find the right customer engagement approach to optimize the global P&L, ensuring agility and scalability to meet the rapidly changing oncology landscape and evolving portfolio
- You will consider all areas of market launch readiness including local requirements for regulatory, pricing/reimbursement, and supply planning, engaging appropriate cross-functional stakeholders throughout the process
- The Global Oncology Commercialization Director will collaborate closely with the Global Product Strategy Team and the Global Value Access, Policy, and Pricing Team to ensure consistent pull through of asset & tumour strategies from global-to-local
- The role will also be instrumental in establishing and driving processes & governance within the commercial organization, helping embed commercial ‘voice’ in cross-functional decision making. You will also support building strong organizational capabilities and competencies for commercialization and lead launch readiness capability building on global-to-local ways of working, in-market launch capabilities, etc
What you have to offer:
- Prior country affiliate commercialization experience in roles of increasing responsibility
- Preference for experience with a ‘portfolio/franchise’ with accountability for directing go-to-market approach and/or resource allocation decisions
- Extensive knowledge and experience across global markets in the Oncology space, including new product development, new product launches, regulatory landscape, reimbursement environment and healthcare system dynamics, to drive successful commercialization strategies
- Leverage deep understanding of oncology healthcare customers, including providers, key opinion leaders, patients, and market access stakeholders, to inform the go to market approach that drives customer behavior change and market performance
- Proven ability to partner and influence from a global position with country commercial teams
- Proven ability to support in commercial capability building within global and market cross-functional teams, providing strategic guidance, coaching and support to drive performance and business objectives
- Partner closely and provide strategic direction to cross-functional groups (e.g. Insights & Analytics, R&D, regulatory affairs, sales, finance, and Medical Affairs) for the development and implementation of strategic and executional plans
- Preference for prior experience working within an alliance. Where BioNTech has co-commercialization or co-promotion rights ensure consistency and alignment with partner(s), in relation to the global brand strategy and all relevant resources
- Plan and drive budget requirements and ensure monitoring and tracking accordingly. Manage vendor partnerships to ensure key activities are executed to plan, cost-effective and within budget
- Continually monitor and analyze market, customer, and competitor trends, incorporating insights into commercialization plan
Requirements: - BS, BA and a minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry with increasing responsibilities
- Experience gained both in country/affiliate leadership roles and at regional or international level
- Oncology including immunotherapy knowledge
- Significant experience in launching products
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong collaboration, team- and alignment-building skills
