Corporate Counsel, Manufacturing and Technical Operations 

 

We are looking for a Corporate Counsel, (Senior Director level) experienced in providing legal support to Manufacturing and Technical Operations (ManTechOps) in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Corporate Counsel for Legal ManTechOps, you will lead the ManTechOps Legal team and you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to BioNTech’s ManTechOps organization.  The ideal candidate can either sit in the UK or US.    

 

Your responsibilities in detail:

 

  • Providing legal advice to ManTechOps organization including drafting and negotiating complex manufacturing and supply agreements with our contract manufacturing organizations and customers 

  • Independently handling all legal aspects related to ManTechOps and leading the ManTechOps legal team

  • Representing Legal in strategic ManTechOps projects and discussions

  • Advising on ManTechOps related projects and agreements in cooperation with other relevant legal teams

  • Supporting the Senior Legal Leadership Team and other members of the legal team on Tech Ops and other legal matters

  • Structure, investigate and counsel questions on export control laws and regulations and on regulatory aspects as associated with our business

  • Maintain and draft commercial and corporate policies and procedures and ensure their consistent application throughout the business, through partnering with the business

  • Support the ManTechOps business unit in the management of all product development, manufacturing and supply operations


What you have to offer: 

 

  • Legal counsel with 15 plus  years of legal working experience in-house or in a law firm, JD and all local ceritifications to practice law.  

  • Working experience of at least 5 plus years leading ManTechOps legal team in the pharmaceutical or diagnostic industry is required

  • Fully qualified lawyer with the license to practice in a EU- or US- or UK- or similar jurisdiction

  • Highly motivated to work in a performance- oriented environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong business acumen and service orientation as well as a high level of efficiency and attention to detail

  • An independent and proactive attitude, but at the same time a team player

  • Flexible and agile to navigate in a fast-paced working environment

  • Ability to draft contracts and to communicate in English and preferably also in another language
