As Manager Manufacturing Operations you will be responsible for the production processes from planning to execution. Oversee daily operations of a production team and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. you will coordinate all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring operational efficiency and product quality. Key responsibilities include managing production planning and execution, leading and developing the manufacturing team, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with QA, and other departments to meet strategic and operational goals.

 

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Develop and implement production schedules and plans.
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations meet production targets
  • Monitor workflow, assembly processes, and ensure cost-effective delivery of quality products. 
  • Manage budgeting and cost control within the manufacturing department.
  • Oversee hiring, resource allocation, and performance metrics for the manufacturing department.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to safety and GMP quality standards for vaccine manufacturing within the manufacturing areas. Ensure site readiness for GMP audits and/or inspections
  • Provide leadership, guidance, to the manufacturing team.
  • Ensure appropriate training plans are implemented and keep up to date.
  • Facilitate training and development programs for manufacturing personnel.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain Management for raw material procurement and inventory control.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA), Engineering, to ensure seamless operations and maintenance of product standards
  • Ensure a safe working environment by establishing and reinforcing all safety procedures and protocols. 

 

What you have to offer:

  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Chemistry and or Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in production management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and quality control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage budgets and optimize resource utilization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GMP standards and the ability to implement and maintain these practices in the manufacturing process.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines from agencies e.g. FDA, EMA, WHO regulatory bodies.
  • Experience with regulatory audits and inspections
  • Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and methods
  • Ethical judgement and integrity
