Lead Operator

The Manufacturing Lead Operator is responsible for leading a team of operators to ensure production runs efficiently, supervising daily operations, training new team members, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The Lead Operator is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring production processes are carried out in a compliance manner (GMP), troubleshooting issues, ensuring equipment is working correctly, and reporting on team performance.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Performe and oversee the manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining production schedules.
- Under minimal supervision operates all production processes within assigned area independently and effectively following detailed instructions.
- Set up, operate and clean production equipment used to produce intermediate or finished products
- Accurately completes batch records/logs, transactions and other documentation associated with production processes to ensure efficient operations and compliance with cGMP and standard operating procedures.
- Manage and provide the technical support to manufacturing operators.
- Demonstrate appropriate processes to associates operators
- Lead training and qualification of operators (as a qualified trainer)
- Ensure the compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP),
- Review manufacturing documentation and ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.
- Participate in internal audits and support manufacturing team activities as requested
- Support teams in the investigation and documentation of deviations during manufacturing of products.
What you have to offer:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Chemistry and or Pharmacy
- Minimum 2 years work experience in similar chemical, pharmaceutical, or industry that complies with cGMP is required.
- Good analytical, research and presentation skills for both qualitative and quantitative data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and effectively
