About the role:
The Associate Piping Systems ensures the accuracy and reliability of critical equipment at an mRNA vaccine production facility. This role involves performing precise calibrations, monitoring equipment performance, conducting root cause analyses, and maintaining compliance with cGMP standards. The technician plays a vital part in ensuring operational efficiency and supporting the production of life-saving vaccines.
Your contribution:
- Assist in the establishment of regular operation and maintenance procedures and to carry out the operation and maintenance of all pumps, pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems motors, electrical equipment, flow measuring, metering, or regulating equipment and structures, including water reservoirs, pumping stations, treatment facilities, and valve chambers
- Install and service water heaters, boilers, pumps, and filtration systems depending on specialization and diagnose issues such as leaks, blockages, low water pressure, or malfunctioning fixtures using tools and testing equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and procedures on all facilities and equipment within their scope of responsibilities and to maintain records of such inspections.
- Maintain in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition all equipment and facilities within their scope of responsibilities and operations, maintains, and troubleshoots the solids handling process, dewatering equipment, and chemical feed systems
- Maintains and repairs plumbing systems by replacing leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains
- Identifies potential problems to prevent premature and/or unexpected breakdowns
A good match:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification)
- 3+ years in relevant completed vocational training or relevant work experience in plumbing and maintenance operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
