Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop, optimize, and perform assays/workflows for TCR Discovery and characterization, including engineering materials
  • Design and perform assays to evaluate efficacy of TCR therapy in vitro and in vivo
  • Perform data analysis and present regular updates to group and organization
  • Maintain accurate record of experiments in an electronic format
  • Manage one direct report and guide daily functions to support overall project goals
  • Work in a cross-functional matrixed environment on multiple projects across various functional groups
  • Generate novel ideas, design experiments, conduct experiments
  • Develop, optimize, and execute multiple T cell engineering methods.
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimally shorten the manufacturing process to reduce the TAT
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and lead screening projects and work with cross-functional teams across functions to bring novel manufacturing methods to clinic.
  • Develop novel vector designs to maximize expression and ensure safety.
  • Collaborate and engage with Process Development to develop T cell manufacturing processes and quality control measurements for T cell products.


Qualifications:
 

  • Masters degree in biotechnology, biomedical engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience as a researcher driving pipeline develop from the pre-clinical setting to the clinical setting: 
  • ability to design, optimize, and culture viral and non-viral T cell engineering protocols.
  • ability to engage in knowledge and technology transfers for pipeline development across various functions including process development, analytical development, and quality control.    
  • proficiency documenting results using LIMS and ELN 
  • knowledge and ability to handle clinical manufacturing instruments 
  • proficiency conducting DoE studies to optimize process parameters 
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, copy number analysis, integration site analysis, IVT RNA production and purification.   

 

Salary Range:  $106,000.00-$143,000.00
