Research Intern, Peptide Chemistry 


Primary responsibilities include:

As a member of the Peptide Chemistry group, the intern will work with the BioNTech Research team by assisting in the day-to-day functions of our Peptide Synthesis and Analytical laboratories.   This opportunity will allow the intern to gain real world experience in a biopharmaceutical research facility, with the focus of developing novel adoptive T cell therapies targeting solid tumors.   Responsibilities will include performing solid-phase synthesis of peptides and peptide libraries using automated peptide synthesizers (programming methods, preparing reagents, monitoring syntheses, isolating products), characterizing and purifying the resulting peptide materials using LC-MS instrumentation, tracking and compiling results and maintaining organized repositories of data and materials, and assisting in the management of routine laboratory operations (inventory, reagent monitoring, instrument troubleshooting, etc.).


  • Must be at least 18 years or older.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor/Master’s Degree program at an accredited university/college in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar program of study with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
