Intern Quality Engineer QC Microbiology 



The intern will work jointly with the Quality Engineering (QE) and Quality Control Microbiology (QC-M) groups at the BioNTech Gaithersburg Clinical Facility will include leading an effort that is focused on continuous improvement of an existing operation and/or contribution to technical studies/methods.  Areas of focus may include execution of risk assessments and leading designing and executing studies for the QC-M group.  The position is expected to be a cross-functional role that will collaborate with members of other technical operations teams, such as Manufacturing, MS&T, and Facilities & Engineering. 


Preferred Requirements:

  • Current student in pursuit of a college/university level science degree (e.g. B.S., M.S.) preferably in an engineering major (for example, chemical or mechanical engineering).
  • Prior experience working in a laboratory or biotech environment.
  • Prior experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office tools including Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and tasks and complete based on prescribed due dates.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on site.
