Your Contribution:

 

  • Accountable for maintaining financial oversight for sales related processes including compliance to SOX and federal anti-kickback statues in the US.
  • Enabler of US development of infrastructure and operational finance processes in cooperation with global stakeholders like Global Process Owners and Global Financial Reporting & Accounting and Global Commercial Finance. Responsible for L2C process execution in the US.
  • Full accountability for G2N by preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and true-ups for sales deductions for the month-end closing
  • Support the establishment of the Gross to Net Process for BNTX USA with the proper systems in close collaboration with the local & global stakeholders like the global GPO L2C and build internal capabilities in Finance USA
  • Apply expert knowledge of discounts, rebates, Government Pricing, Commercial/Government payers and the impact on ASP/net cost recovery
  • Lead US G2N reserve analysis and forecasting, mitigating risk and ensuring accurate revenue recognition across commercial and government channels (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, PBMs).
  • Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, providing strategic insights to US leadership regarding pricing, payer mix, and product launches.
  • Manage the Government Pricing Reporting
  • Managing outsourcing partners like external G2N provider,  3PLs or 5 PLs in terms of BNTX requirements and interfaces plus the assessment of the proper internalization strategy of tasks together with local & global stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external and royalty audits, maintaining comprehensive "Reasonable Assumptions" documentation and SOX-compliant SOPs.
  • Drive the transformation of the US Finance organization from research centered to a commercial centered organization together with the US Finance Leadership Team
  • Build up and lead an internal team over the upcoming years for some of the activities 

 

A Good Match:

 

  • Finance Degree preferably CPA
  • Curiosity to set up new processes from scratch in a fast-moving environment with global and local stakeholders
  • 10+ years of  experience in US pharma preferably oncology in Gross to Net, Accounts Receivable, Government pricing & the relevant general accounting activities.
  • Knowledge of distribution, group purchasing organizations, financial implication of patient support programs and 340B
  • Public accounting experience preferably in a SOX environment
  • Experience in ERP transformation projects
  • Willingness to take personal accountability to establish new processes in a fast moving environment with local & global stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience working through ambiguity
  • Onsite presence required
  • Role can be located in Cambridge, MA or Berkeley Heights, NJ 

 

 

Expected Pay Range: $198,900 to $318,300/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). *Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
