Position Summary:
BioNTech is developing novel Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs), protein degraders and other targeted therapeutics for the targeted treatment of cancer with the goal of maximizing efficacy and minimizing toxic effects to patients. To achieve this goal ADCs and/or degraders will be prepared, evaluated in a battery of in vitro and in vivo assays, then based on results, improved therapeutics will be developed. Primary Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for working independently or collaboratively to ensure the timely generation and characterization of ADCs. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, productive, and able to autonomously conduct various experimental techniques while confidently presenting results to cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- PhD with 3 plus years of experience, Master’s with 5 plus years, or Bachelor’s with 6 plus years of experience in a relevant field
- Expertise in protein or antibody drug conjugation and characterization
- Strong skills in protein expression, purification, and characterization
- Experience in mammalian cell culture, including both adherent and suspension cells, transient protein expression, and cell-based assays
- Proficiency with AKTA and HPLC systems
- Familiarity with filtration operations, including bench-scale dead-end filtration and TFF
- Competence in protein-based assays such as ELISA and MSD is advantageous
- Strong teamwork and proactive communication skills
- Self-driven and capable of working independently within a cross-functional team environment
- Must be willing to work onsite at least four days a week
Preferred requirements:
- Previous experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferable but not mandatory
- Hands-on experience with conjugation method development
- Experience with site-specific conjugation or dual payload conjugations
Expected Pay Range: $99,100 to $158,700/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). *Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
