Director Senior Safety Physician 

 

In this role, you are responsible for the safety monitoring, risk management and signal management activities. You act as a medical safety expert for the development of BioNTech’s vaccines or oncology products.

 

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Perform Clinical Safety tasks on individual clinical trial level
  • Be the primary addressee for the Clinical Safety Managers, Medical Monitors for all safety related topics
  • Be part of the clinical trial core team
  • Oversee the benefit-risk profile of assigned products
  • Provide medical input to the writing and approval of safety sections in essential clinical trial documents
  • Provide regular safety updates

What you have to offer.

  • Medical Degree (PhD and/or specialist training in oncology or hemato-oncology preferred)
  • Experience in clinical trials in the field of (immuno-) oncology/cellular therapies or in the field of clinical development or medical safety surveillance
  • Experience with electronic data management systems to achieve and maintain data integrity throughout
  • Knowledge of GCP and global clinical safety regulations
  • Experience in monitoring development safety activities for clinical trials including SAE assessments, SUSAR reporting, signal management and safety writing
  • Proven team player and excellent communication skills
  • Fluent English, written and spoken
