About the Role:
As the Director, Clinical Vendor Management & Performance Optimization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring BioNTech's clinical operations achieve excellence. By establishing strong vendor relationships and driving performance improvements, your work will directly impact our mission to revolutionize medicine and improve global health.

Your Contribution:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance through KPIs and metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization
- Drive performance negotiations to enhance execution efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with clinical development teams to assess vendor performance and identify areas of improvement
- Analyze cost trends, investigate anomalies, and optimize budgets for better financial outcomes
- Stay abreast of industry trends in vendor management and implement best practices
A Good Match:
- Bachelor's degree in Life or Health Sciences; advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience (7+ years) in vendor/alliance management within clinical trial operations
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and clinical data systems (e.g., eTMF, IWRS)
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to navigate dynamic environments
If the position is filled in the US, the Expected Pay Range is 168,100/year to 268,700/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Compensation at other locations may vary significantly.
